Key responsibilities

The Coles Services teams are accountable for ensuring all aspects of our stores are clean and that trolleys are available for our customers. As Team Leader we'll look to you to:

• coach and develop your team through leading by example
• support your Area Manager with the onboarding and training of new team members
• provide coverage for Area Manager on days off and annual leave
• build a supportive culture that focuses on customers, rewards achievement and builds careers
• care passionately about providing a safe environment for our team and customers
• drive a collaborative team culture focused on meeting store standards and compliance
• be on your feet for long periods of time and lift heavy items up to a maximum of 16kg
• safely complete tasks including pushing/pulling floor cleaning equipment and machinery, as well as pushing trolleys from the car park into the store

As Lecturer in Literary Studies and Communication, you will work with other ArtLab academics and key stakeholders to implement the curriculum and promote the full suite of undergraduate and postgraduate study in the discipline. This will involve assisting with the exploration of opportunities for growth and engagement in the Literary Studies and Communications disciplines and undertaking regular review and redevelopment of the course as part of the evolving needs of the disciplines, and the College.

Teaching into undergraduate and postgraduate courses and units will form part of this role, as will working in collaboration to build research, education and practice in the Literary Studies and Communications disciplines as well as contributing across other areas within the College as required.

To be successful, you must possess a relevant post-graduate qualification or higher in Literary Studies and Communication (or relevant field) coupled with a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (or be able to complete within probationary period), and proven experience in Higher Education teaching, curriculum development and assessment. In addition, to qualify for a level C, you will hold a relevant doctoral qualification (or currently be enrolled and have made substantial progress towards completion) and have an established research profile and the ability to provide leadership in research including research training and supervision. The ability to develop and use flexible/online computer-based learning materials to suit the needs of a diverse student body will strengthen your application.

About the Role

The Nurse Researcher (NR) is accountable at the advanced practice level and accountable for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of nursing research projects/programs within the Emergency Department using an evidence-based systems approach to care and practice.

The QEII Emergency Department (ED) sees 57,000 presentations annually and offers immediate care for all emergency presentations excluding major trauma and obstetrics and consists of 13 acute bays including 3 paediatric bays, fast track, short stay unit and 3 resuscitation bays, 1 of these paediatric. The ED is responsible for the triage, assessment, immediate treatment and disposition of acutely ill patients presenting to the hospital.

QEII Emergency Department is well supported by a strong multidisciplinary team:

• The nursing team comprises Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Researcher, Clinical Nurses, Nurse Educator, Clinical Facilitators, Registered Nurses, Assistant in Nursing, and Nursing Director Medical.
• The medical team comprises the Director, Deputy Director, Registrars, Interns.
• The allied health team comprises Advanced Physio Practitioners, Social Workers, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Pharmacist.
• The support teams include Administrative Services, Security, Operational Service Officers, and many others.

All of these teams work collaboratively in providing optimum patient care for our patients presenting to the Emergency Department. There is a wealth of opportunity for research within the emergency setting.

The role 
Reporting to the Manager, Governance and Executive Services, you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality corporate risk and governance services to Corporate Services Division and secretariat services for the Department of Health Audit and Risk Committee.
