About New Primary School at Caloundra South

A new state primary school in the growing area of Caloundra South (Aura) will open for Prep to Year 6 students for 2022.
A distinct, inclusive learning and teaching culture will promote a strong and successful, learning environment.
The new primary school will be located within the heart of the growing new community, to the south of Baringa State Primary School (opened 2018) and Baringa State Secondary College (opened 2021). This provides scope for the development of a collaborative and powerful learning community of new schools, facilitating professional collaboration and curriculum implementation across the schools and marketing and promoting the new School.

Your Role

The Deputy Principal of the new school will be multi-skilled, having strong contemporary curriculum and pedagogical knowledge, an interest in ICT (preferably an Apple platform), excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated evidence of implementing strong systems and processes in their previous role(s). The successful candidate will be a key member of the foundation team and will either lead or support the following initiatives initially:

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) implementation.
Development of the Student Code of Conduct.
Support the Principal and interim P&C committee to develop school-based policies and procedures.
Support the Principal in the development of the P - 6 curriculum and establish the key pedagogical practices.
Support the Principal and BM with procurement activities and the establishment of school-based operational systems and processes.
