JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated team player with demonstrated experience working in a regulatory environment undertaking quality assurance, compliance and investigative activities and/or demonstrated knowledge of quality in early childhood education and care.

Quality Assessment and Regulation Division

The Department of Education and Training is the Victorian Regulatory Authority for early childhood education and care (ECEC) services under delegation from the Secretary. The Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD), in the Department of Education and Training, regulates and quality assesses ECEC services. QARD drives the delivery of high-quality ECEC services and ensures the safety, health and wellbeing of Victorian children attending those ECEC services.

Children's Services Authorised Officer

Tenure: Ongoing

Employment Type: Full Time

As a Children's Services Authorised Officer you will play a key role in promoting quality improvement in ECEC services by actively monitoring compliance, undertaking investigations and conducting assessment and rating visits at Victorian ECEC services.

To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative and motivated team member, who upholds organisation values in all interactions and actively contributes to a constructive culture.

This is a full time, ongoing position, at the VPS4 level working across the South Western Victoria Region. The role involves travel across the South Western Victoria Region, including Melton, Ballarat and Wimmera areas, and will at times include overnight stays. The Grampians Area team office is based in Ballarat.
