About The Role

A School Administrative Officer provides administrative, financial and student welfare/wellbeing support and assistance in relation to office and classroom activities, including but not limited to the following school settings: the office, sick bay, library, science laboratory, and food technology/kitchen areas.



  • Working with Children Check Clearance
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.
  • Administration of Medications – training to be provided based on student needs.
Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Administration skills including a knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with teachers and students.
  • Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; sick bay; hospitality and /or design and technology; science.
Special Notes

This position will involve work in the Technology Faculty specifically including Home Economics, Textiles & Design & Food Technology.

Baulkham Hills High School is a coeducational academically selective school with a support unit located in the North West of Sydney. The Support Unit caters for students with mild/moderate intellectual disability and autism. The school is culturally diverse and has an enrolment of 1,231 with 94% of students from a language background other than English. Entry into Year 7 is via an entrance examination which is conducted by the Selective High Schools and Opportunity Class Placement Unit of Department of Education. Entry into available places in Years 8 to 12 is determined by the school and is based on evidence of consistent academic excellence at the applicant’s former school. Students are encouraged to be well-rounded individuals and to participate in leadership opportunities, bands programs, cadets, sporting pursuits, Duke of Edinburgh award and a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
