The Role 

As an Area Manager, you are expected to ensure the exceptional delivery of operational and regulatory standards throughout the services you are allocated. You are responsible for driving the enrolments and profitability of your assigned services by managing, guiding, and supporting the performance and development of your reporting Nominated Supervisors. You are responsible for ensuring that your assigned services are operating in accordance to the company philosophy, policy and procedures, and as per the National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations. 

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of industry legislation, compliance and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of business management
  • Strong understanding of the importance of family communications
  • Leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent management skills
  • Effective roster utilisation skills
  • Understanding of the Montessori Philosophy preferred, but not essential
  • Passionate about implementing early learning programs

Essential Criteria

  • 2+ years' experience managing multi-childcare services
  • Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (approved by ACECQA) or working towards this qualification
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Ability to work shifts between 7:00am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday
  • First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
  • Understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
