About us

Curtin’s School of Allied Health offers professionally recognised courses in Exercise and Sport Science, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, and Speech Pathology.

We also operate specialist clinics at Curtin Perth, Challis Community Primary School and Curtin Clinics Cockburn, where our students can hone their skills while delivering professional services to the community.

In this role you will…

Responsibility as unit coordinator.
Provide expertise in mental health a developing area in the occupational therapy courses and one of the particular focus areas for the schools accreditation requirements.
Deliver education to students via a variety of Occupational Therapy units.
Contribute to curriculum innovation and design.
Contribute to the Teaching and Research goals of the Curtin School of Allied Health.
Mark and assess student work.
Contribute to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment. Model a high standard of professional behaviour consistent with the University Code of Conduct and Vision, Mission and Values.

A doctoral qualification in relevant discipline
Specialist expertise and experience in mental health.
Demonstrated experience / capacity to undertake unit coordination role.
Proven high level teaching skills.
A strong understanding of pedagogical theory/contemporary educational practise and an emerging record of scholarship in learning and teaching.
An established record of research outputs.
Demonstrated communication and leadership skills
