Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible up to 73.5 hours per fortnight for a period of two years.

Duties
Provide a training consultancy client service for training under agreement (an agreement or contract between an employer and an apprentice or trainee) conducted in accordance with the Workforce Development and Training Act 2013 and the Tasmanian Traineeships and Apprenticeships Committee (TTAC) Policies and Guidelines.
Advise parties to training contracts as to their rights and obligations for the duration of the training contract. Where necessary, counsel and conciliate between parties entering into, or party to, training contracts.
Monitor compliance and carry out investigations into allegations of non-compliance with the legislation and/or training contract and report findings to management.
Approve training contracts and amendments to training contracts in accordance with delegated authority.
Liaise with VET sector organisations including the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE), the Australian Apprenticeships Support Network providers (AASNs), Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Group Training Organisations (GTOs) to provide information, advice and direction in relation to apprenticeships, traineeships and vocational education and training.
