To help us achieve this, we are looking for an individual with a strong background in curriculum and policy, who is committed to improving learning outcomes for our children and young people. The Manager Curriculum Policy will provide high level curriculum, teaching and learning expertise, including strategic advice and analysis related to curriculum, assessment and reporting matters in South Australia and nationally.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a current full teacher registration to teach in South Australia.

If not permanent with the Education Department, applicants must meet the department’s minimum employment requirements before taking up an appointment.

Minimum departmental employment requirements for teachers include recognised teaching qualifications and registration as a teacher in South Australia and, in addition, for all applicants who are not permanent teachers with the department will include an active on-line application in the Employable Teacher Register (ETR), a cleared Education Department Employment Declaration, Australian residency or current work permit, Reporting Abuse and Neglect training (previously known as Mandatory Notification), and an approved First Aid Certificate.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department of Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. A current DHS child-related employment screening will be recognised as a WWCC until it expires. The incumbent will be required to undertake Responding to Abuse & Neglect (RAN) full day/online training course every three years. For all other Special Conditions please refer to the Role Description.

Requirements
Applicants are required to submit a CV, the Application Cover Sheet, Employment Declaration, and a written statement of no more than 1500 words. Written statements should address the key selection criteria outlined in the Role Description. Applicants should include the name, address and contact number of three (3) referees, one being your current line manager.

Remuneration
STL3 - $130,927 per annum

Special Note:
This is a full-time temporary vacancy up until 20 January 2024.
