JOB DESCRIPTION

EARLY CHILHOOD TEACHER POSITION – Full Time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to work as part of our team, leading the provision of high-quality care and education for children up to the age of 5 years. In this position you will provide and implement education and care programs which meet the holistic needs of the individual child as part of a community. 

You will need a Degree in Early Childhood; strong leadership qualities; and an ability to support and mentor others towards continuous improvement with a thorough understanding of the EYLF and NQF.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulation, National Law and the National Quality Standards for Early Education and Care
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with families
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the community
  • Work according to the Australian Early Childhood Code of Ethics
  • Maintain a Safe and Comfortable Environment
  • Participate and contribute to the development, review and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs
  • Work in a team to continuously improve all areas of the centre
  • Uphold your Duty of Care at all times

The applicant must

  • Hold a Bachelor of Education
  • Working with Children Check
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be passionate about early learning
  • Be able to work in partnership with families
  • Build strong connections to our environment and community.
  • Be able to work effectively within a team.
