We are currently seeking a Trainer to join our team based in Darwin on a 12-month contract (with provision to be extended). This is an excellent opportunity for a trainer and assessor, who is passionate about training carers and providing training and employment opportunities in remote communities.

This is a role that will require remote travel as the position will be delivering training in remote communities. As the Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering all aspects of Cert III in Individual Support in accordance with standards from the Australian Qualifications Framework. You will need to assess and mark students work and support students throughout the course, making adjustments to ensure the training program is effective for diverse learners. You will also be responsible for ensuring student data and information is kept up to date and that assessment and training resources are approproately modified for the learners.

Skills and Experiences:
To be successful in your application you must have:

  • Cert IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40116) or higher
  • Cert III in Individual Support or higher
  • Experience in developing and delivering training packages
  • Experience working in remote communities
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills
  • Be computer literate
  • Must have or be able to obtain a National Police Check
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Ochre Card
  • Must have a current NT Drivers License
