    About the role

    We are seeking a passionate and energetic Early Childhood Teacher to help oversee the provision of early childhood care and education for children of the group to which they are responsible. In doing so they help to ensure the program meets the relevant Regulations and Quality standards.

    This is a permanent full-time position. This position has the opportunity to step into a leadership role/ Educational Leader. 

    Some of your responsibilities will include:

    • Working with other staff in the room to plan a program that is guided by observations of the children;
    • Communicating with all families regularly;
    • In the absence of the Coordinator, performing tasks as associated with being a Certified Supervisor;
    • As well as other duties specified in the attached position description.

    Skills & experience

    • Degree in Early Childhood Teacher Education (minimum of 3 years and studying towards 4th year of qualification) from a higher education institution;
    • Demonstrated ability to design and implement programs for children;
    • Familiarity with Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standards
    • First Aid Certificate
    • Statement of Attainment for “Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Harm
    • As well as other criteria set out in the attached position description.
