Our Family Day Care scheme is well established and has been operating for over 40 years.     About the opportunity

    Family Day Care is a home based child care service providing care and education for up to 4 children from birth to 12 years of age. Educators are self-employed and registered with the Approved Provider, CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay. The small group setting allows FDC Educators to give each child the personal care and attention which is vital to help young children develop new skills and interests. 


    • Work cooperatively with the Coordination unit to ensure the best outcomes for children and their families
    • Plan and implement programs for a small group of children
    • Develop and maintain a safe, stimulating environment for children
    • Abide by the legal requirements outlined in the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Family Day Care SNNW Educator’s Agreement

    Skills & experience

    To be considered as a FDC Educator for CatholicCare you will have:
    • Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards or willing to obtain)
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Understanding of Child Protection responsibilities and the mandatory reporter role
    • Current Working with Children Check
