You have a background as a Director in Childcare or similar. You can plan your time well and are able to determine which tasks have priority over others in order to allow time to focus on your team and the services we offer. You are extremely savvy with the Quality Areas Framework and know how to be innovative and professional. Part of your friendly nature is that you have a high desire to create strong relationships with those around you. What makes you successful is your ambition for efficiency and operational excellence.

Hiring Criteria

• Have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) OR 3 years’ work experience, in case of no formal qualification

• Have a high level of experience in the Childcare and After School Care Industry

• Outstanding skills to develop efficient processes and procedures

• Experience essential in leading a team

• Have a high sense of creativity

• Exceptionally high degree of professionalism

• Be exceptionally organised and have excellent time management skills.

• Leadership and problem-solving skills

• Administer Administration and develop processes

• Strong communication and liaison abilities

• Desire to push through tough issues to grow and learn

• Previous experience in the similar role is essential

• Have an open mind toward personal and professional growth and willing to attend conferences and seminars

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Childcare Centre Director to join our team and bring extra value to the company and whole community. Our business is on a steep curve of growth and at times can be high paced and as a result our systems need to be continually reviewed and upgraded to support our team and customers. Our aim is to remain as leaders in our industry. And your role will be pivotal in keeping us there through management of team and continue to develop one of our services for us to provide a new epic level of support to the community and our team. Your working hours may vary as the role is for our Out of School Hours Care.

You will report to the Area Manager and General Manager and have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Leading, supervising and training the team

• Nominated supervisor for the service

• Overseeing the overall budgeting of the service

• Administering employment and administration documentation

• Helping to recruit staff and coordinate their professional development

• Assisting with managing floor staff

• Promoting a positive work environment

• Performing general administration duties

• Maintaining records and accounts for the service

• Liaising and communicating with clients (children and parents) and staff

• Implementing Quality Improvement Plans and maintaining our exceeding rating of quality of care

• Reporting to Area Manager and General Manager

• Ensuring the service complies with the relevant government requirements and standards

Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 per annum (exclusive of superannuation)
