This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to involvethemselves in a range of activities which support learning and enhance the educativeprocess. Thesepositions are based at the Central Coast.

Specifically,this role will work as part of the InformationTechnology section and will assess students both on campus and in theworkplace. Assessors may also be involved in the development of assessments aswell as assisting in the marking of skills competency workbooks.

Reportingto the Head Teacher, this position:

  • Works as part of a team to design, validate and carry out assessments and moderations
  • Is responsible for implementing assessment strategies that have been developed in conjunction with the Teacher
  • Develops and carries out independent assessments
  • Supports Teachers and Head Teachers in meeting ASQA compliance functions including documentation
  • Motivates and encourages the candidates to complete their tasks and activities

If youhave:

  • Diploma of Information Technology
  • Minimum 3 years recent relevant industry experience in the InformationTechnology industry

  • TAE40116 Assessor Skill Set
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and conductassessments, validations and moderations in the VET environment

  • Understanding of the content of learning materialsand the processes used in the discipline and a commitment to maintainprofessional currency

  • Commitment and ability to provide feedback in anadult learning environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encouragestudents
