If you don€™t have a current CertificateIV in Training and assessment, but you do have a passion and commitment to Cultureand the Arts Industry, you may be eligible for a scholarship. Once you havecompleted the studies, you will hold the qualification needed to become a Trainerand Assessor with TAFE NSW.


  • Aboriginalityand sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal Culture, communities andengagement

  • Degree, Diploma or other vocational qualification in Arts and Culturerelated fields and/or minimum 5 years current Cultural Arts practice recognisedin Community. Appropriate vocational qualifications include: Certificate III inAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts

  • Demonstratedinvolvement in Aboriginal community, events and issues as they relate to AboriginalCulture

  • Commitmentand capacity to implement Aboriginal Education Policies, Equal EmploymentOpportunity (EEO), Ethical Practice, Ethnic Affairs Priorities Statements,Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) as they relate to the position

  • Intermediatecomputer skills

  • Appropriatesubject knowledge

  • Demonstratedcommitment to quality customer service

  • Commitmentand willingness learn and develop as a professional teacher.
