About the role

A role in our Early Learning and Care Centre (ELCC) is both rewarding and fun with the opportunity to work in a creative way with children. The successful candidate will assist the Coordinator/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children, also taking a prominent role in helping to prepare, document, implement and evaluate the program.

This is a Permanent Part-time position: 16hrs a week, Thursday & Fridays.

A Child Care Educator has;

  • An ability to build relationships with children, their families and school staff;
  • A commitment to ensuring all policies, procedures and regulatory frameworks are met; as well as
  • An understanding about safeguarding children and provision of a safe work environment.

Skills & experience

  • Diploma Qualifications and relevant experience in Early Childhood Education;
  • Experience creating quality education/care settings for children aged 5-12;
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and CPR Certificate;
  • Completion of Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk (CHCPRT001 or previous equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the Education and Care National regulations and National Quality Framework
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance
