2022 Anaesthetic Provisional Fellow/Senior Registrar
Fixed Term Full Time – (7th February 2022 – 5th February 2023)
6 or 12 month positions available


The Women’s is Australia’s leading independent specialist hospital for women dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women of all ages and cultures, and new born babies. The Women’s is a major teaching hospital with strong affiliations to the University of Melbourne, with research and education integral to its role.


The Anaesthesia Department at the Royal Women’s Hospital is one of the largest specialist obstetric anaesthetic departments in Australia and has a national reputation for its clinical care, research and training. Advanced training positions are available for trainees seeking further experience in anaesthesia for obstetrics and gynaecology.


Candidates will need to be: 



  • A trainee anaesthetist in the last year of training or equivalent or an anaesthetist in the immediate post-fellowship provisional year.

  • An approved trainee of the Australia New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or a registrar of another approved College requiring formal anaesthetic training (Australian Candidates)

  • At an ATY3/PGY level.

  • Overseas applicants should possess equivalent qualifications such as the FRCA diploma or equivalent and be part of an approved anaesthetic SpR rotation in the UK or the Republic of Ireland.


Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an Interview, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 2nd June 2021



The Classification and Salary scale will be dependent on experience and you will be appointed and in accordance to the Australian Medical Association (Victoria) Doctors in Training Agreement 2018 - 2021
