The Role

The Resource Monitoring Officer is responsible for analysing the current and future utilisation of delivery/operational resources ensuring that the Education Training Group (ETG) plan is supported and demands of regional delivery requirements, customer expectations and sustainability considerations are considered.

Reporting to the Manager Delivery Implementation, this position:

  • Partners with key stakeholders to maintain oversight of regional business planning and project activities to inform and pre-empt resourcing needs.
  • Leverages procurement and purchasing knowledge and expertise, in alignment with sound procurement guidelines, to source and provide resources that meet education and training package needs and comply with stringent safety standards.
  • Assesses and evaluates efficiency through monitoring resource utilisation data, following up on areas of below target utilisation, unexpected delays or barriers, and cleaning up inaccurate data to formulate a cohesive picture of resource allocation and use.
  • Proactively works to drive resource costs down by ensuring the mix and volume of resources is responsive to stakeholder needs and delivery objectives.
  • Liaises with stakeholders as the first point of contact for all resource monitoring and procurement needs to meet delivery requirements and ensure that resourcing is optimised to meet current and future demands.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
  • High level planning and analytical skills along with well-developed problem solving skills with the ability to address specific challenges.
  • Ability to address and meet the following focus capabilities (as stated in the Position Description):
