TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in Carpentry to join our team of teachers on a Part-time Casual basis.

  • Are passionate about sharing your practical insights on Carpentry
  • Have a willingness and ability to travel between multiple regional locations including (NIRIMBA, Miller and Macquarie Fields)
  • Want to work as a part of a collaborative and dynamic teaching team and are committed to building the skills of students
  • Have a demonstrated commitment to or previous experience in delivering training in an adult learning environment

The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Certificate III in Carpentry and/or Certificate III Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years relevant and current post qualification experience as a Carpenter/Joiner; including domestic housing construction
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in Carpentry with knowledge of industry trends
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional currency
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service
