Salary: $79,000.00 – $109,000.00 per year

We have number of full time and part time (3+ days per week at maximum capacity of 4 children), Early Childhood Educators positions available to work within the Ryde and Parramatta local government areas and surrounds. The successful candidates can work flexible times including overnight and weekends and set your own fees. Make a difference! CCA Family Day Care is a home-based childcare service providing high quality care and education for up to 4 children from birth to 12 years of age. Educators are self-employed and registered with, Christian Community Aid as the Approved Provider.

Children are capable, competent, curious, and rich in potential. Small group settings allow FDC Educators to give each child the personal care and positive learning opportunities which is vital to the development of young children.

You have the potential to earn around $95 per child per day educating and caring for children in your own home. You can look after up to 7 children at any time with 4 of them being under school age. Average Educator working with 4 children per day earns over $380 per day.

About the opportunity

CCA Family Day Care is an accredited education and care service regulated by the Department of Education. Our experienced and dedicated Educators deliver engaging programs that meet the needs of each and every child in care. Children and their families are valued in our programs and we engaged them as active participants and contributors.

CCA FDC have a professional network of registered educators providing a Family Day Care Service in their own home. Our staff will work closely with you, so you establish a successful home-childcare service.We administer funding and compliance on behalf of Government. We monitor and support through monthly visits, handle enrolments and bookings with parents and administer Child Care Subsidy. We provide Educators ongoing coaching, and professional development, we run promotional recruitment of children; as well as regular play-sessions for children and their Educators. Play sessions are designed for children to interact with other children and advance their social and emotional learning skills. Play-sessions also are a platform for Educators to network and build collaborative working relationships with other Educators and staff.

In joining our team, you will be part of an organisation that provides a wide range of support services to individuals and families across the North Western Sydney and Parramatta areas.

Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with the Coordination unit to ensure the best outcomes for children and their families.
  • Plan and implement programs for a small group of children.
  • Develop and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment for children.
  • Abide by the legal requirements outlined in the Education and Care Services National Regulations and CCA Family Day Care Educator’s Agreement

  • Enthusiasm and passion for children: Wanting to make a difference to each child supporting their learning and wellbeing.
  • Creative and Flexible: Able to think outside the box to planning lessons that deliver great learning outcomes for each child in your care.
  • Good communicator: be able to communicate with children in a way that is age appropriate. Also, communicating with families both orally and in writing about their children's abilities and achievements to provide the best learning experiences for their child.
  • Respect children and families: Every child has a unique personality and style of learning. An effective educator values parental collaboration and shares the benefit of play-based learning to parents.

Skills & experience

To be considered an Educator with CCA FDC:

  • You must be over 18 years of age.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen or hold residency.
  • You must have a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) as a minimum qualification.
  • Have an Australian Business Number ABN.
  • Meet police and working with children requirements for all household members
  • You must hold a valid, approved Senior First Aid Certificate and approved training for Emergency Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management
  • You must have had experience working in an early childhood setting or service.
  • You must live in a house, townhouse or villa and have approval to run a Family Day Care service
  • You must complete and have a satisfactory Working with Children Check for both yourself and all persons 18yrs and over living in your home.
  • Medical clearance from a medical practitioner.
