Western Sydney University is a modern, forward-thinking, research-led university, located at the heart of Australia’s fastest-growing and economically significant region, Western Sydney.

The School of Science is a large and comprehensive school with learning, teaching and research excellence encompassing a wide range of biological, chemical, environmental, food, forensic, medical, nutritional and physical sciences, including agriculture and astronomy.

The Associate Professor is a senior academic leadership role in the school, and through this will have the opportunity to lead our program, if relevant. You will be involved in a range of academic activities including the development, implementation, and teaching of units in Nutrition, Food Science, and Health, and will be expected to conduct translational research with medical sciences, nutrition and food science and supervise postgraduate (Masters and PhD) students in their area of expertise.

In this position you will lead the building our Innovative Food Production team, will work closely with industry, research and teaching staff in the wider School of Science, and will be encouraged to develop collaborations with units across the wider University. You will also bring an external network with the nutrition and food industry to foster relevant relationships external to the University.

This is a Full-Time, Ongoing position located at the Hawkesbury campus, however may be required to work on other campuses or as directed by the University, from time-to-time.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level D $182,212 to $200,131 p.a., (comprising Salary of $154,391 to $169,706 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
