About The Role

The role is a full-time permanent position based at the Royal Australian Navy’s training facility at Randwick Barracks in New South Wales in support of the RAN’s Canberra Class LHD platforms. Flexible working arrangements are available.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team and manage the development and delivery of a range of technical and non-technical disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage project implementation and execution in consultation with the Program Manager
  • Project manage a dynamic training development plan that incorporates competing priorities and concurrent activity
  • Integrate change management principles into training development activities
  • Relationship management with our client and associated Subject Matter Experts to ensure quality of outputs and achieve project outcomes
  • Developing efficient project execution in relation to training development and delivery
  • Ability to produce work that satisfies client requirements under time constraints
  • Develop processes to support more efficient project execution in relation to training development and delivery
  • Engage in high level stakeholder liaison and report writing on a regular basis
  • Develop cultural values with our client and your team that are focused on contemporary learning solutions
  • Conduct quality assurance review of training deliverables
Your Background
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, training, and managing teams in a Defence training environment
  • A solid understanding of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to produce high quality work within tight timeframes
  • Proven experience in the development and management of training governance documentation, including training packages, assessment tools and validation processes
  • Proven ability to manage teams in a learning and development context
Your Qualifications
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Currently hold or have the ability to obtain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance
  • Undergraduate qualification in project management, business or learning and development
