Belgrave Heights Christian School (VIC) is an independent Kinder-12 school, located in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria. An opportunity exists to join the team in our School’s Library, known as the ‘Discovery Centre’ and to manage this progressive and dynamic space. The Discovery Centre encompasses our library and flexible learning areas. This will be a permanent position, 5 days a week during school terms, commencing in May, 2021.

We are seeking a skilled individual with a library qualification. Management experience and involvement in a school setting would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will have the responsibility of overseeing the LMS, collection management and team leadership with a commitment to embracing the ethos of the Discovery Centre. You will be passionate about customer service and student experiences and have a knowledge and love of books and literature. You will have a desire to engage with students of all ages, to promote, foster and maintain literacy and reading within our school community.

The successful applicant will:
  • Have a minimum qualification of a Diploma in Library & Information Studies or an equivalent level of library management experience
  • Have experience with Accessit, Library Management System (LMS), or equivalent program
  • Have a current Working With Children Check
  • Actively support the School’s ethos and encourage the development of Christian faith in students
