About the role

An educator works within the home of a family needing childcare services but whom cannot access mainstream services due to non-standard working hours, children with complex needs or geographical isolation. An educator is not just a babysitter, but must provide an educational framework to the children/family in need. The Educator will:

  • Work Tuesday 2:30pm - 6:30pm and Wednesday 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • Service 2-3x children under 6 years old
  • Help with school/care pick-up and drop-off
  • Only care for the children in need, not doing domestic duties such as laundry.

About you

  • At least a certificate III in Early Childhood Education OR willing to attain. Teaching degrees and Early Childhood Education diploma's are also acceptable.
  • Sound knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework is desirable but not essential
  • At least 1 years formal experience e.g. childcare centre's OR 2 years informal e.g. babysitting, children's art workshops...
