An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated person to join the NSW Health Education and Training Institute (HETI).

This new part time role will responsible to engage with internal and external stakeholders in providing both practical project management and research-based thought leadership in the management of all aspects of HETI Research projects and the HETI e-journal.

The position reports to the Senior Manager, in a newly created research and evaluation team.

Where you'll be working

The Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) works with health partners to develop contemporary and responsive health education and training to enable a world-class workforce.

The role is based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards - a brand new, purpose-built campus that is well serviced by public transport. The building offers activity-based working with agile and flexible workspaces and the latest in technology, modern end-of-trip facilities and secure bicycle storage. There is an onsite cafe as well as plans for a 100 space child care centre. What you'll be doing

To engage with internal and external stakeholders in providing both practical project management and research based thought leadership in the management of all aspects of HETI Research projects and the HETI e-journal, monitoring current research projects, managing research software and providing relevant research based communications for internal and external stakeholders. Have developed research, conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to accurately interpret compex information and apply valid research methods in clinical education and training to the development of public policy and programs

This position is open to Australian Citizens; permanent residents of Australia; or New Zealand citizens with a current New Zealand Passport.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in research or current PhD candidacy and demonstrated relevant contemporary experience in research and research education.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of the research process and ability to perform research as well, as practical experience in conducting research projects.
  3. Highly developed research, conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to accurately interpret complex information and apply valid research methods in clinical education and training to the development of public policy and programs.
  4. Demonstrated high level organisational and project management skills including the ability to develop and implement project plans, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  5. Demonstrated ability and experience in teaching research skills at an appropriate level.
  6. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage programs of research and review and manage research publications and set the strategic direction for a range of education and research programs.
  7. Highly developed communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to form collaborative.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
