Melbourne: CBD and Werribee campuses

The Head of Department, Health and Community Care is responsible for the delivery of the following qualifications:

CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support
CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability
HLT33015 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance
HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance

To be considered for this role, you will have:
significant experience at a level on operational level in the coordination and management or Health and Community Care qualifications
demonstrated successful experience in supporting the submission of funding applications for Health and Community Care qualifications
demonstrated commitment to deliver quality vocational training and education programs
comprehensive understanding of the Community Services training package, the Standards for Training Organisations 2015 and Skills First contract
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to manage a small team
ability to contribute to ongoing review and continuous improvement of vocational education and training programs
ability to comply with reporting requirements and to maintain records in accordance with policies and procedures

Responsibilities include:
establishing industry links
providing leadership to support the delivery of quality courses
managing the Health and Community Care course requirements and expectations of each student, work placement host employers and employers
monitoring and supporting student progress
establishing new and maintaining existing industry links
ensuring compliance with all standards, contracts and internal requirements for program delivery
dissemination of relevant information to employers, students and industry
maintaining personal professional development as it relates to the role
supporting the marketing of the department and courses
