Role Type: Part Time Fixed Term

Remuneration: $ 73,027 - $ 103,540 + Superannuation (dependent on qualification & experience)

We are currently seeking a Mumgu-dhal tyama-tiyt Teacher with experience in literacy to join our Corrections Education team at Loddon Prison.

The Role:

To deliver Adult Basic Education to cohorts of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups within a prison setting and conduct competency-based assessment in specified program(s) in a classroom setting and online environments. To also work with local Aboriginal Community Members and organisations.

Candidate will be culturally competent and will ensure culturally safe practices are followed. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or (TAE40110) including Design & Develop Assessment tools (TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B) and address Adult language, literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A).
  • Relevant vocational qualification and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed
  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWC) Assessment Notice and/or WWC card
  • Police Check
  • Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia
