Full Job Description
The role includes duties such as:
Managing emails to the shared Academic Lead for Medical Careers mailbox and via the UQ Medical Student Research Portal
Setting up suitable appointments for medical students for the Academic Lead for Medical Careers and Director of MD Student Research
Coordinating the organisation of medical student careers and research conferences and webinars
Updating information on the medical careers website and the UQ Medical Student Research Portal
Assisting with maintaining links with our networks and with students
Maintenance of the UQ MD careers and research events calendar

The position reports to the Coordinator, Medical Student Support Administration and is based at our Herston Campus, UQ’s core campus for clinical health teaching and research.

Our Ideal Candidate

Alongside the completion of a diploma level or equivalent qualification with relevant work related experience in administration or similar role, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Experience in the organisation of events, including webinars and face to face conferences
High level of computer proficiency and data management skills with experience in the use of a wide range of computer applications, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite
Experience in email administration and being able to triage emails to others for attention within appropriate timeframes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to and enthusiasm for the provision of excellent client service
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload, meet deadlines and work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team member

What We Can Offer

This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed term position ending 31 December 2021 at a Professional HEW Level 4.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range of $65,424 - $69,453 plus super contributions of up to 17%.
