  • Temporary Full-Time Position, until January 2022
  • $62,204.20 - $68,540.33 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation. Salary commensurate with experience.
About Council’s Family And Children’s Services

Family and Children’s Services is responsible for the coordination, advice, education and delivery of a broad range of services for children and families from 0-17 years of age. This includes Childcare Services (long day, occasional and family day care), Kindergarten, Family Services, Maternal and Child Health, Immunisation and a Planning Team.

The Opportunity
Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following

Working collaboratively within our team of Early Childhood Educators, this position will see you implementing high-quality, innovative play-based programs to meet the individual and group interests, strengths and needs of children.
  • Supporting the program in promoting staff interaction with children;
  • Sharing interdisciplinary strategies to enhance the delivery of the program;
  • Recording interactions and achievements of children both as individuals and in groups;
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of curriculums; and,
  • Working according to the National Quality Standards and the National Quality Framework.
About You

To be suitable for this position, you will possess the following:
  • Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent, as recognised by the Department of Education and Training and in accordance with the Education and Care National Law Act 2010 & the Education and Care National Services Regulations 2011;
  • Demonstrated understanding of Victoria’s Child Safe Standards; and,
  • Hold a current and valid: Working with Children’s Check, First Aid Level 2, CPR Certificate, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management certificates.
