OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION: The College Nurse provides a range of direct and indirect services to the College community aimed at reducing the risk for our young women and promoting better health in the wider community of staff, parents and families. The Nurse may enhance the health and well-being of the College Community. COMMENCEMENT DATE:
The successful applicant will commence as soon as possible and conclude on 10 December 2021.

Conditions Of Employment

The employer of staff at Mercedes College is Mercy Education Limited and employment is subject to the terms and conditions of The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Perth Non-Teaching Staff Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2014 and the Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia Policy Statements and school based policy statements.

  • Hold and be current in First Aid CPR HLTAID 003 minimum level
  • Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School or a commitment to work towards Accreditation
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Police Clearance no older than 90 days (successful candidate only)
  • Membership of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Division 1 Registration
  • Knowledge of relevant current legislation , Health and Privacy acts, Mandatory Reporting
  • Knowledge of legislated health policies relevant to the school context
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Information Technology skills.
  • Experience with school-level policy review and development
  • Knowledge and experience in educational settings
  • Knowledge of MAZE, SEQTA, Consent2Go databases
