Rural Clinical School of WA (RCSWA)

Position based in Kalgoorlie
Full-time or part-time (0.6 - 1.0 FTE), fixed-term appointment until 31 December 2021 with possibility of extension
Salary range: Level 5; $72,531 - $80,391 p.a. plus superannuation
District allowance of $3,054 p.a. (pro-rata)

About the team

Finance supports the mission of the University by providing a high quality, end-to end, flexible and responsive financial management and advisory service including provision of corporate financial and staffing services.

The University’s professional service delivery model was created to deliver effective and efficient end to end services across the whole University. The model includes all core services of the University and creates functionally aligned services delivered through Service Delivery Centres.

The Financial and Staff Resources teams in the Service Delivery Centres provide high quality, responsive support to University clients for financial services.

The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia is a unit within the Medical School of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, which provides rural clinical training for WA medical students. The RCSWA spans a breadth of some 3,500kms across multiple sites in WA order to provide a positive rural educational experience, increase the quantity and quality of the rural workforce and in turn improve health outcomes in rural and remote Australia.

About the opportunity

As the appointee you will, under limited direction, provide accurate high level support, advice and administrative processing of staff resources and financial services to meet the needs of the Rural Clinical School of WA.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency
Substantial relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level in a HR or accounting related role
Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines
Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge of financial accounting practices and procedures or human resources integrated systems
Ability to adapt to change and be flexible
Highly developed analytical and numeracy skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service
