Aspiri Primary School is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and hard-working Associate Principals for appointments to permanent, fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2022.

Aspiri Primary School is located in the Piara Waters catchment within the Perth southern corridor of schools and is a part of the South Metropolitan Educational Region. The catchment highly multicultural and is experiencing rapid growth. This is reflected in our school community and current and medium term enrolment trends, similar to like schools in this area and is expected to continue over the next few years. Our ongoing strategy is to continue to develop the school as a leading educational facility that is at the forefront of innovation in the 21st century and develops the whole child in terms of academic success and social, emotional and physical well-being. Being a new school, Aspiri Primary School boasts modern, state of the art facilities with a purpose built school environment designed to provide the best possible start for students.

As Associate Principal, you will work closely with the Principal and members of the Executive team to provide strong educational leadership in the school and the community. You will have a key leadership role in developing and supporting teaching and learning across a phase of learning, oversight or leadership of various operational tasks and strategies, management of leadership teams across the school and will be responsible for delivering strategies and targets outlined in one or more of the focus areas within the school’s Business Plan. Quality experience and competency related to successful use of data, growth coaching and instructional leadership programs will be highly regarded.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:

  • Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings;
  • High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;
  • Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
  • Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.

Employees Will Be Required To
  • Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
  • hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia;
  • obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to
  • commencement of employment; and
  • obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.


Employees Will Be Required To
  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
  • complete the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.

The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
