Mary Mackillop College (MMC) is a Catholic girls’ school for students from Year 7 to 12. We are an authentic, interconnected, joy-filled learning community steeped in the Josephite charism. We are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, Academic Staff member to join our Middle Leadership Team in the role of Head of House - Pastoral Middle Leader. This is a Tier 3 full time contract position until June 2022 for a paternity leave contract.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated capacity to lead staff and students and an ability to form excellent professional relationships. As an innovative and creative educator, you will hold an integral role in realising the vision of Mary MacKillop College.

The successful applicant will be a highly skilled Academic Staff member with a proven track record in the teaching of Religious Education and other learning areas. To be successful in this role, you will have the appropriate qualifications and experience across Pastoral Leadership.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the education in the Catholic tradition, have proven organisational abilities, effective communication skills, and be an innovative and creative educator.

To be successful in this role you will:
have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Estimated Start Date: Commencing 12 July 2021

Employment Tenure: Full Time + Fixed Term

Tenure Duration (if "Fixed Term"): 12 months - July 2021 to June 2022
