Job Description

The Education Assessment Manager will lead, coach and develop both the Assessment and the Education Operations Team. Driving assessment and quality assurance activities to deliver a first-class candidate experience. This role will also be responsible for the establishment and growth of the quality assessment and education operations framework, ensuring continuous improvement and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a quality assessment framework to promote innovation and successful outcomes for candidates.
  • Oversee assessment item development, delivery and standard setting as part of quality control.
  • Drive candidate progression and support strategies for at risk learners.
  • Cultivate strong assessment faculty and vendor relationships.
  • In collaboration with the assessment faculty, ensure a robust, consistent fair and defensible assessment framework.
  • Lead continuous improvement in critical assessment areas of item authoring, exam delivery and marking, proctoring and candidate retention and satisfaction.
  • Research and present opportunities for process efficiency and innovative solutions.
  • Develop, share and interpret assessment reports, including item analysis and suggest actions and improvements.
  • Drive the development and implementation of a quality control framework to promote innovation and ensure a contemporary best in class candidate experience.
  • Develop, implement, and review course collateral including scripts, course, automated notifications, and course and assessment handbooks.
  • Manage the quality control process of Learning Management System (LMS) course and assessment setups.
  • Oversee regular vendor updates for continuous system improvements.
  • Partner with the wider Education Team to optimise course build and delivery to world class standard.
Desired Skills and Experience


To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or similar related field.
  • Proven experience in online assessment development, delivery and reporting.
  • Experience in leading and coaching staff and faculty.
  • Experience managing a Learning Management System and/or configuring the learner interface.
  • Strong ability, in both research and analysis, to provide strategic and tactical insights, recommendations and solutions.
  • Experience in managing assessment and proctoring systems, including exploring artificial intelligence solutions.
  • An indepth understanding of utilising reporting systems and business intelligence software to drive improvements and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a high ability to successfully collaborate.
  • Proven experience delivering projects to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated successful stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of the application of Agile methodologies, practices, and workflow tools.
  • Experience in managing assessment committees or boards.
