About the role

As the Senior Technical Officer, you will collaborate in a team which will provide services to support Staff, Students and Partners to achieve teaching, research and commercial outcomes within creative industries programs. This role will see you assist with the development of technical facilities and ensure that they are maintained to the highest industry and educational standards. Working across a wide range of activities, equipment and processes, employed within these facilities, the role will deliver creative solutions to the unique and challenging problems associated with education, innovations and environments within the visual arts space.

  • A candidate with proven technical knowledge and expertise, primarily within the visual arts space.
  • Flexible and can adapt your working style to suit the team.
  • Agile and thrive working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, complex and evolving environment.
  • Innovative with a focus on incorporating new technologies and tools.
  • Collaborative where you enjoy working in a team environment and support your colleagues to achieve team goals.

  • Able to lead yourself and others to contribute to team efforts in dealing with complex situations.
  • Problem solver, able to think on your feet and produce creative solutions to problems.
Qualifications
  • Relevant training/education and/or relevant experience. Specific practical experience in studios/workshops/with art materials/equipment will be advantageous.
