Full Job Description
School of Biological Sciences

Part-time (0.8 FTE), fixed-term 12 month appointment
Salary range: Level 4; $67,294.00 - $71,483.00 p.a. (pro rata) plus 9.5% superannuation (increasing to 17% from July 2021)

About the team

The School of Biological Sciences is a large, multidisciplinary School with over 80 high-caliber staff delivering world-class education and research programs to approximately 600 undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students and is responsible for the supervision of ~100 PhD students. The School is research-intensive with expertise in the disciplines of Computational Biology, Ecology & Conservation, Evolutionary Biology, Neuroscience and Science Communication.

As the appointee you will, under general direction, provide support and assistance to researchers and undertake experiments and research activities.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
Relevant research experience at an appropriate level
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and as part of a team
