With 2800 Prep to Year 12 students across two Colleges and an iconic outdoor education centre, Ironbark, our employee community need to collaborate across multiple stakeholders to create results. We are seeking a full time English Teacher to join our team, working alongside our secondary students at our Springfield school. This is a contract position covering a period of leave from 17 May to 03 December 2021.

About you:
You have demonstrated excellence in teaching English across the secondary years (7-12) with a high degree of teaching competence. Experience teaching Senior English (year 10 & 11) and Junior High HPE (years 7-9) would be highly advantageous.
You possess excellent interpersonal skills and are able to communicate sensitively and confidentially with parents, students and other staff
You are able to build and maintain quality relationships in all aspects of your work
You are able to select and use appropriately, a wide range of teaching strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students.
You are highly organised and take pride in the planning and preparation of your classes
You have a demonstrated understanding of current issues in education and can implement strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes
You embrace opportunities to reflect upon your professional practice and further develop your own skills and knowledge across a variety of different areas
Working with multiple stakeholders and collaborating across teams is motivating. Further, you demonstrate effective communication and solutions orientation within this environment
You identify with St Peter’s professional behaviours of trust, accountability, unconditional positive regard and open communication and feedback and apply these in all that you do
