About The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader: Industry Experience, the Senior Industry Experience and Engagement Officer will be responsible for providing high-level operational and project support across a wide range of student placement activities. This position will increase awareness of and engagement in placements, internships, professional practice and extra-curricular activities that support the industrial experience program requirements and broader work integrated learning opportunities across the Programs in UniSA STEM.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the Professional Practice Program resources, processes/systems and material for staff and students
  • Develop an Industry Experience communication plan and templates for the student placement life cycle
  • Liaise with academics and industry stakeholders to ensure placements adhere to the expected standard of practice
  • Conduct an annual review of placement processes and make recommendations to the Team Leader
  • Generate reports, analyse data, adhere to compliance requirements and provide findings and recommendations to manage and mitigate risks

Essential Skills And Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated significant equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
  • Proven ability to be innovative in generating solutions while ensuring compliance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including experience in facilitating discussions and liaising with people at all levels both internal and external to UniSA
  • Demonstrated analytical and organisational skills
