This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2021

Richmond Primary School (PS) is seeking a Primary Teacher – Physical Education to lead the school’s physical education program. This is a rare opportunity to secure this position at this highly sought after school.

Richmond PS, an Independent Public School, is a medium sized primary school in East Fremantle. The school has a strong tradition of high performance on the sporting field and a full calendar of interschool events.

The successful candidate will be a very well-organised physical education teacher. They will have strong pedagogical skills, teaching experience and knowledge in the curriculum areas of physical education and health.

They will be a self-starter with the proven ability and initiative to successfully lead this learning area, including the coordination of school and interschool sports carnivals in athletics, cross country, swimming and winter sports.

Team and interpersonal skills are a must, including the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders from students to staff to parents to outside agencies.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY

Employees will be required to:

TRAINING

Employees will be required to:
  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
