The Opportunity

The Data Engineer (Digital Cognitive and Mental Health) works with a range of backend and mobile app technologies to ensure the digital mental health platform is fit for purpose, while providing high level support for end users and future development. This position works directly with team members and users (students, staff members, community members, clinical populations and occupational groups) to determine the best solution to promote mental health and wellbeing outcomes.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the local deployment of an open source digital cognitive and mental health platform at the Turner Institute, releasing features on a continual basis and monitoring performance to identify systemic issues.

If you have postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications (or extensive experience) in computer science, information technology or software engineering, we look forward to hearing from you.

Complementary statistical competency (including AI and machine learning techniques), experience in handling large datasets and proficiency in R and Python will also be highly valued.

This role is a full-time position, however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated
