Contribute to a positive and engaging student experience by providing advice and support to new and existing international students.

We are a new world university. Like our namesake, Charles Darwin we think differently. We innovate, embrace change, challenge conventions and look for better ways. We’re not about tradition or legacy, privilege or exclusivity. We care about people as individuals, and about our wider society. We’re about what we can give to the world, rather than what we take. We cannot build a new world without diversity of thought, so we bring together people with unique perspectives in an inclusive and supporting learning environment to help them connect, discover and grow. This is the CDU difference.

CDU Global provides leadership and strategic advice to support management and executive level decision making in relation to international engagement and works closely with faculty and key university administrative units and external stakeholders. The Office is responsible to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for strategic leadership, development and management of the University’s international goals and international activities, including international marketing and promotions, recruitment and admission of international students, international student support, legislative compliance, international partnerships, and relationships with foreign government departments and other agencies.

As the International Student Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for international students, providing valuable student support services. As part of the International Student Services team you will provide advice to increase student’s awareness of compliance relating to student visas, national legislation and University policy. You will assist the Team Leader International Student Support in the coordination of events and activities for international students and work closely with other areas of the University to provide an outstanding student experience.

You will hold a degree and relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training/education, and will demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of computer software, databases and information management systems. The ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and to exhibit highly developed, professional, and culturally sensitive communication skills will be essential to your success.
