The Centre

Located in the leafy lower North Shore of Sydney, KU Greenwich Preschool is only a short stroll from Wollstonecraft train station, provides high quality education and care for young children and their families, which is reflective of the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework. The centre is rated as 'Exceeding' the National Quality Standard with an expansive outdoor nature play area and thriving vegetable patches. Ample street parking is available near the service.

The Role

We currently have an exciting position available for a full qualified child care educator who will able to work in a small team, happy to engage in all elements of the service and keen to engage in professional development.

This exciting position will see you working Full time - 7.6 hours per day, Monday to Friday during school term on a fixed term parental leave cover contract currently to the end 2021.

We want you to be as passionate about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are.

In addition you will have:

  • Current Employee Working with Children Check.
  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • Current Child Protection Training
  • Recognised Certificate III in Children's Services or similar as approved by Australian Children's Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law(2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations(2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills
  • Knowledge and experience in Circle of Security and Attachment theory highly regarded
