Remuneration: $ 118,731.75 + Superannuation (dependent on qualification & experience)

Bendigo TAFE and Kangan Institute are the TAFE trading brands of Bendigo Kangan Institute. We are one of Victoria's largest TAFE providers, with over 40,000 enrolled students per annum. We offer vocational training to students from all over the northern metro corridor as well as Loddon Campaspe regions. We are currently seeking an experienced Application Team Manager to join our ICT team at Broadmeadows Campus.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Director Service Delivery and Operations, you will apply your experience and skills to combine managerial responsibilities with in-depth hands-on technical expertise to manage the performance, operational support, maintenance and development activities of business critical applications to provide high quality service management of Institute's Enterprise Applications that may be internally or externally hosted and\or managed by the Institute internally or as a Third Party managed service.

This position is a stakeholder facing role, and requires that you establish and manage expectations within the business and drive the IT team to achieve those expectations to a high standard.

Manage key stakeholder relationships with accountable business leaders including financial, budget, business demand, risk and vendor management.

The position is responsible for the provision of outstanding leadership, performance and continuous improvement of the ICT Application Management team.

From time to time you will be expected to represent the Director Service Delivery and Operation or the CIO by stepping in for all aspects of Application Management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant Degree and post graduate qualification and experience, or extensive management and leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant management and leadership experience, in leading a team of technical subject matter experts and supporting ICT business critical application management.
  • More than 5 years of management experience for Applications team.
  • Experience with SDLC
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • A blend of ITIL certifications (or equivalent) and service management experience working in or with the government education sector will be highly regarded.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWC) Assessment Notice and/or WWC card
  • Police Check
  • Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia
