Kelly Club provide before care, after care and vacation care programs throughout Victoria. Our aim is to provide not just "a childcare facility", but to run programmes in a safe environment that entertain and inspire our future generations.

Our goal is to give children opportunities to do the things they love and enjoy in a supportive and encouraging environment. We use a professional program model that is fun and promotes children's wellbeing, learning and development.

Programs are focused around sports, cooking, discovery, arts and craft activities and trips as well as relaxation time around a busy life at school. Children are encouraged, educated and entertained during their time on our programmes.

Kelly Club is closely aligned with Kelly Sports. Kelly Sports has been providing a range of curricular and extra-curricular sporting programs for children in Australia since 1994.

The Role

We have a fantastic part time permanent opportunity for an experienced OSHC Coordinator in the Geelong area. Our Coordinators manage our Before School and After School Care Programs delivering a remarkable service that families rely upon

Reporting to the Territory Manager, the essential purpose of this role is to deliver a fun and engaging program. This will be achieved by supporting and mentoring a high performing, skilled and engaged team of Educators within the service, and by providing an inclusive and fun environment in which children are safe, engaged and well supervised. We are seeking a suitably qualified and passionate person in the delivery of a high quality program. Hours will be around 25 - 30 hours a week, with the potential for increased hours during peak periods such as school holidays.

Our programs provide before and after school care for students from Prep to Year 6. Duties include program administration, rostering, supervising and assisting casual staff in running activities, food preparation and general cleaning.

The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to deliver a safe, caring and engaging program for primary aged boys and girls. A sound working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, first aid qualifications and a valid Working With Children Check (or VIT) are also required for this position.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, plan and implement a stimulating, educational child care program
  • Maintain a child safe environment for all children
  • Assist children in routine tasks
  • Managing and developing your team
  • Communicate effectively with staff, families and children
  • General administrative tasks
  • Other duties as required

Skills and Experience

  • Diploma / Bachelors qualified within Childhood or Education studies or other ACECQA recognised qualification
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid HLTAID004, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Asthma Management training
  • Current child protection training and strong knowledge of child safe standards
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of National Regulations
  • Good understanding of My Time Our Place learning framework
  • Availability to work between 7am - 9am 3pm - 6pm Monday to Friday
  • Availability to work additional hours for administrative tasks

About You

Kelly Club Coordinators are individuals who are passionate about working with children and want to pursue their dreams by continuing their growth in the Education sector.

You are a suitably qualified Education professional who has a minimum of 1 year of experience, in a similar role of responsibility.

Most importantly, you are personable, enthusiastic, driven, ambitious, communicative and above all have the natural ability to engage with people from all walks of life and are driven to raise the education of our future leaders, the children.

Each day you will motivate the children to join in our daily activities whilst ensuring their safety at all times and will have a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, coupled with a first aid qualification and working with children check.
