About the Safety Compliance Project Team:
The Safety Compliance Project team is responsible for planning and delivering both the Low Voltage Fuse Removal and Safe Work at Heights courses across the State over a three-year period.

About the Role:
In this key position you will work alongside the current coordinator to successfully implement, schedule and rollout the training calendars/courses for both the Low Voltage Fuse Removal and Safe Work at Heights courses to meet corporate objectives and set targets.

You will contribute to the design, development, implementation and evaluation of programs that encourage, maintain and strengthen the capability of volunteers and provide direct support and advice to the Lead Regional Learning and Development (L&D) to ensure consistency and standardisation of L&D practice. You will work closely with Fire and Emergency Management (F&EM) and District Planning Committee (DPC) Training Sub Committees to enhance brigade capability with further detailed responsibilities to include:

  • Collaboratively developing a relevant training plan with the Acting Chief Fire Officer (ACFO) from each district.
  • Effectively liaising with key stakeholders (i.e. ACFO, F&EM) to gain a comprehensive understanding of the district's training needs and objectives to ensure a workable and effective training plan and schedule is implemented.
  • Working with DPC Training Sub Committees to validate training objectives
  • Supporting F&EM capability development via Brigade Annual Review process
  • Coordinating the scheduling and delivery of relevant training and assessment Coordinating and preparing training resources and materials including tracking and ordering materials as required.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you must have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent and a strong understanding of the arrangements, standards and environment of an RTO. You will ideally have proven experience in a related role with well-developed written communication skills to develop reports & correspondence and to convey training information and objectives to internal & external customers. Further to this you will have a contemporary understanding of competency-based learning and development business practices. You will be highly organised and able to manage multiple projects within budget, quality and time parameters.
