About the Position

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager - Training Services, the Learning Designer will be required to work with SME’s, Stakeholders and Designers to translate complex information into clear, easy to absorb content that achieves quality learning outcomes directly aligning to regulatory compliance and governance standards.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:-

  • Lead the learning design process by:
o negotiating and partnering with SME’s and Stakeholders to complete training needs analysis (TNA)
o developing Training and Assessment strategies to meet TNA
o liaising with RTO stakeholders to ensure content is compliant to regulatory requirements
o developing clear, detailed storyboards that reflect desired outcomes, obtain approvals from Stakeholders.
o coordinating with Instructional Designer to create innovative approaches to learning within scope and timeframes
o review and gain approval of final product from Stakeholders.
  • Coordinate learning resource deployment to the LMS and/or other learning platforms
About You

To ensure success in this role you will possess:
  • Relevant experience working in VET and developing training materials that comply with training package requirements and knowledge of the Standards for RTOs is essential
  • Significant experience in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning and training resources
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment highly regarded
  • Sound knowledge and practical application of the ADDIE model
  • Proven planning and resource management skills to meet agreed timeframes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer service skills with proven ability to build effective relationships, work collaboratively with business leaders and multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
