(HEO6) $81,254 to $87,770 per annum plus an employer contribution of 9.5% superannuation will apply.

The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University. The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement. Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

Fixed-Term full time position for 12 months

Key position responsible for the provision of support to the Editor in Chief, and other stakeholders of the journal, JBI Evidence Synthesis (JBIES),

This position is focused on managing and monitoring manuscript workflow for a monthly online publication. JBI Evidence Synthesis publishes research content to support healthcare practice and policy worldwide.

The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) is an international research and development agency with more than 30 staff in its headquarters in Adelaide and more than 1500 researchers located in Collaborating Entities around the world. With almost 80 Collaborating Centres and Groups, JBI is a recognised global leader in evidence-based healthcare. This role is based within the dynamic Editorial Office of JBI Evidence Synthesis in JBI.

In this role, you will review submitted manuscripts for alignment to the scope of the journal and adherence to submission guidelines. The Receiving Editor. Additionally, you will assess submissions for scientific conduct and reporting and JBI methodologies of synthesis, as well as assign manuscripts to appropriate peer reviewers and editors. The successful applicant will also liaise with international authors and external stakeholders, maintain and update journal database records, and facilitate administration of the journal Editorial Board.

To be successful you will need:
Demonstrated knowledge of systematic reviews and evidence syntheses
Ability to learn new technology as required
Demonstrated organisational skills for prioritising work and an ability to meet deadlines
Strong understanding of academic journal publishing processes
Track record of peer review for scientific journals.
