Full-time, continuing appointment (35 hour working week)
17% employer superannuation, plus great conditions
Option for Gold Coast, Lismore or Coffs Harbour location. Relocation support available.

About the role

The Library provides resources and services that facilitate the use of scholarly resources for teaching and learning, and supports the research activities of the University. The Library’s mission is to foster quality learning, teaching and research for the University and its communities through innovative, effective access to resources, and client-focused services.

The Librarian will undertake a range of tasks including identifying and facilitating ongoing communication about resource needs with Schools, designing and implementing strategic and pedagogically appropriate digital literacy and research instruction, providing specialised research consultation and reference; educating, advising and advocacy on issues of scholarly communication and participate in community outreach activities.

This position is offered at any one of our main campus locations. Whilst our preference is for a Gold Coast appointment we will consider a Lismore or Coffs Harbour location for the right candidate.

The remuneration package for this position is up to $105,617 per annum (inclusive of base salary $82,219-$90,271 per annum and 17% employer's contribution to superannuation).

About you

We are seeking applications from experienced librarians with demonstrated understanding of the academic library context, including scholarly communication and publishing trends, digital literacy, research data management, and trends in library and information services.

With a commitment to the enhancement of the student experience and maximising graduate outcomes, you will draw on your high level interpersonal and communication skills to provide quality client service and maintain effective relationships with colleagues.

Current, or eligibility for, Professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) is essential.
