Jalygurr-Guwan Aboriginal Corporation has been providing Long Day Care, Out of School Hours Care and Regional Children’s Service Mobile Playgroup for over 30 years in Broome. We are committed to delivering high quality early childhood education that enhances the cultural, physical, social, emotional, language and learning development of the children utilising our services. We offer above the award wage and the ability to salary sacrifice to our permanent staff.

We are currently seeking Child Care Workers (Group Leaders) to join our team at our OSHC (Out of School Hours Care) Service.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Engage with families to support the development and growth of their children
  • Assist with the set-up of new OSHC services
  • Supervise children
  • Ensure adherence to the National Quality Framework and Regulations
  • Encourage children through play activities and provide a happy learning experience
  • Support the OSHC Area Coordinators, providing advice and guidance on general service operation through regular feedback

Who you are

  • Possess a Diploma in Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care)
  • Love working with children and families
  • Flexible with your work conditions and duties
  • Ability to perform with in a team
  • A multi-tasker that loves a challenge
  • Experience in working with indigenous families
  • Possess or able to obtain National Police Clearance, WA Working with Children Card, Driver’s license,

Senior First Aid Certificate

The annual salary for this position ranges between $57,000 to $62000 gross per annum plus superannuation.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply for this position.

Traineeship can also be offered.
