A wonderful independent not-for-profit organisation run by a committee of parents is looking for a Senior Educator to join their well-established team.

This Service has a clear management structure which includes an experienced Director, 2 Assistant Directors, 2 Supervisors and a large pool of Educators.

This role will see the successful candidate step up into the role of Senior Educator. As part of this role, you will be expected to:

  • Assist with planning and programming developmentally appropriate experiences.
  • Clear communication with families regarding their child’s participation in the program.
  • Have a strong understanding of My Time Our Place & the National Quality Framework and implement this into your daily practice.
  • Have strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a team of Educators in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor.
  • Commit to working Monday-Thursday afternoons minimum (1:30/2:00pm-6:30pm)

Who are we looking for?

  • Someone who has experience working in the OSHC sector in a leadership position such as a Responsible Person or Team Leader
  • Someone with great communication skills – must be able to direct, lead and mentor a team of Educators
  • Someone with the ability to step into the Responsible Person position in the absence of the Nominated supervisor
  • Someone with the ability to mentor and share knowledge with the team
  • Someone who can build strong, respectful relationships with the children in care and ensure all children are able to access the program
  • Someone who is able to liaise and build partnerships with parents, families, parent committee, school & other stakeholders
  • Someone who can commit to working Monday-Thursday afternoons minimum (1:30/2:00pm-6:30pm)
  • Someone with a positive, professional and co-operative approach to working with educators, parents and the school community.
  • CHCPRT001: Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection.
  • HLTAID004: Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting.
